Applications for the 2025/2026 academic year at the National Defence Academy (NDAL) are now closed. Thank you to everyone for your interest and for submitting applications by August 10. The NDAL is now selecting candidates and assessing their eligibility to begin on September 1st. Candidates will be informed of the selection results individually.

Cadet Candidate Course

Cadet Candidate Course

From September 12 to December 4, attend training at the National Armed Forces Infantry School in Alūksne.
To enroll in the professional bachelor's study program, complete the Cadet Candidate Course first. This course includes Basic Military Training (levels 1 and 2) at the National Armed Forces Infantry School from September to December (13 weeks), followed by the Junior Leadership Course from January to February (6 weeks).
