Bachelor’s study programmes

Choose one of the state-funded study programmes and get a higher education degree with a guaranteed opportunity to work in the National Armed Forces. After graduation, you can continue your studies at the National Defence Academy of Latvia master's degree programme or further your knowledge in career courses.

For university graduates

Choose the state-funded professional higher education study programme Command Staff Officer and in two years get a higher education degree with a guaranteed opportunity to work in the National Armed Forces. After graduation, your specialisation will depend on what you've learned at university. You can continue your studies at the NDAL, updating your knowledge in career courses.

Master's study programme

Officers of the National Armed Forces and civilian employees of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Latvia

Choose the state-funded professional master's degree in Military Leadership and Security and get your professional master's degree. After graduation, you can develop your knowledge with career courses.

Daily life of students

International cooperation

All cadets have the opportunity to further their studies abroad under the Erasmus+ programme. National Defence Academy of Latvia offers traineeships in Latvia and abroad.
